The House Of Lagna Lord: Paka Lagna

The building block of Vedic Astrology is understanding the D1 (Rashi) Chart. Season astrologers can calculate depts about a person solely from the D1 Chart without using the Vargas. The D1 Chart is the physical manifestation and it represents us in one complete sense.

The two important points in the D1 chart are Lagna and Lagna lord. The Lagna is our starting point from which we recon everything. The Vedic numerical valve of lagna is zero and along with the nine planets, it forms a complete decimal system. This system is also represented by the ten Vishnu Avatars and is also used for the calculation of ayus in Vedic astrology.

Lagna Lord is the lord of the Ascendant. This planet becomes the most important planet in the horoscope as this shows how we are going to function. Kalyan Verma in Saravali says Lagna Lord is the King always make the Lagna Lord strong. This is because the stronger the lagna lord the stronger you are. Paka Lagna

Paka means to ripen or be ready for consumption. It is like a fruit that has ripened and is ready to be consumed. Paka Lagna is the house where the lagna lord is placed. The house, the Rashi and its lord where the lagna lord is placed becomes very crucial. The Paka Lagna tells us how we are going to use our lagna i.e. intelligence, what resources are available to us and what houses and planets are always influencing our brains. If Paka Lagna becomes weak no matter how strong or good the planets are in the Lagna they will not function.

If the Lord of the Paka Lagna becomes weak then you are always short of resources or support and may have bad health. The karaka of Paka Lagna is Jupiter and if Jupiter associates with Paka Lagna then the person is very intelligent or can become very learned.

Chart 1: Shri Ram

Prabhu Shri Ram was born in Cancer Lagna with Lagna Lord in Lagna along with exalted Jupiter in the Lagna. The Paka Lagna becomes Cancer itself with the most powerful Gaja Keshari Yoga. His intelligence is supreme as his Paka Lagna is very powerful. The planets in Kendra to Paka Lagna are Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and the Sun. Jupiter is lord of the 9th house of Dharma and the 6th house of enemies. He always upheld the dharma and no matter how strong the enemy, was he was victorious. Saturn lord of the 7th and 8th house showed him sorrow in marriage as Maa Sita was abducted by Ravana. Mars is lord of the 5th and the 10th house shows that he is always thinking about his followers and the public. Mars also shows undying support of Shri Hanuman and Vanars. Sun is showing that he was very good as the King and always obeyed his father. There are multiple yogas involved which when studied from Paka Lagna tell so many yogas.

Chart 2. Pt. Sanjay Rath

In Guru JI’s natal chart, we see that the Lagna Lord Jupiter is in Lagna forming a very powerful Hamsa Mahapurusha Yoga. The depositor Ketu is also exalted and in parivartana from Jupiter forming a Guru Parampara Yoga. This Yoga is from the Lagna only so it shows that He is born in the family of Raj Jyotishis. Secondly, Paka Lagna Pisces is very strong so he has full knowledge of Jupiter, Ketu Rahu and Mars. Jupiter is Lagna Lord and the 10 lord showing Siddhi Yoga and perfection in work. Chart 3 Swami Vivekananda

Swami Vivevkananda is born in Sagittarius Lagna and Lagna Lord Jupiter is in the 11th Bhava of Guru Upadesa. The Paka Lagna is Libra and its Lord Venus is in a Sadhu Yoga with Mercury. Mecury and Saturn are in Parivartana so the whole energy of Kali is coming. Jupiter is having sama saptaka sambhanda with the Mantreas and 12th lord Mars showing his focus on mantras and emancipation. This Jupiter is between Saturn and Rahu which is not a papa kartari in this case as both are the lagna lords of Guru Shri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa and he is always with his Guru. The 9th lord Sun Atma Karaka on Lagna is also showing this and his devotion towards his Guru and Dharma.

Chart 5 Saddam Hussein

Saddam Hussein the ruler of Iraq. The Lagna is Pisces with exalted Venus and Marana Karaka Saturn in it. Lagna Lord 1 is Jupiter in debility in the 11th house. This 11th House is not Guru Upadesa here, it gains and get everything that he desire. The Jupiter is in exchange with Saturn, showing brahma yoga either you can become a great creator or cause much destruction. The lagna lord 2 is Ketu in ayus debility and in exchange with Venus. So a sort of messed up yoga is forming involving Venus, Jupiter Saturn and Ketu and Lagna is failing, unbale to decide what to dom what intelligence to use. The 9th house lord Mars is gone with Rahu and other 9th lord Ketu is debility in a type of Marana in the 3rd house. Showing no dharma to protect and no duty to follow.

Chart 5 Jeffrey Dahmer

Jeffrey Dahmer was serial killer who killed several people in his lifetime. The time availble on the internet is not correct and I have corrected to match his childhood issues and his isolation in life. As a general rule serials killers can be easily seen from the D40 chart. Here in D1 chart we can see that the person has a tendency to dissregard human life and can kill someone, but the real judge will be the D40 chart.
The Lagna Lord is Venus and in the 7th house that means it is going away from Lagna. This means one has to leave the birth country in order to rise and work. Venus is Atmna Karaka and is also combust showing that the soul of the native is in my pain and there are internal issues at work. The Paka Lagna is Aries and its lord Mars is in the 6th house of Shadripus and in functional debilitation. Mars is also in Rudra Yoga with Gandhanta Moon showing huge internal anger and much destruction on mind. The Jiva Karaka Jupiter is in Marana Karaka Sthana and afflicted with Saturn and Rahu. Apply all the rules of Paka Lagna on the Moon Sign Lord also. This shows how the mind is thinking and you will get a clear picture.
