Eclipses are very important events in vedic astrology, as they have the power to trigger a series of events that may change destiny of individuals or of nations too.
Powerful eclipses change the destiny of entire world, as they mark changes in Yuga Dasa.
Eclipse is power of the nodes (Rahu and Ketu) to grab control over the two luminaries Sun and Moon.

Sun which represent the divine father, is the source of all knowledge, as Shiva is the form of Guru Dakshinamurti teaches the world.
Sun is eclipsed by Rahu, during eclipse it is Rahu who has caught hold of Sun. Solar eclipse can also denote change in government regime or head of nation.
