Ganesh Chaturthi Special: Ganesh Sadhana To Remove Bhadhaka

Shri Ganesh, also known as Vighnaharta: The one who removes all the problems. It is always the blessing of Shri Ganesh that causes every Vedic ritual, ceremony, mantra, etc. to be completed without obstacles. Ganesh is a Veda Murti and holds the knowledge of all the four Vedas. D60 is the chart which tells us what Veda Murti is blessing us and worshipping him will open up the knowledge of that Veda.

Rahu is natural Bhadhak as it lords the natural 11th house of the Zodiac. The word Bhadhak means obstacles that are unseen in nature. Bhadhak has the power to even kill a person if associated with maraka or 6th house. Bhadhak is the place of Rahu (Darkness) and where Bhadhakesh (Lord of the Bhadhak Sign) sits is the place where we were dishonest or cheated in past life.

Bhadhak has to be seen from Lagna first. This is the place which will cause our intelligence to fail and create problems. The house where Bhadhakesh sits will create unseen obstacles in life. Malefic planets in Bhadhak Sign create serious problems during their Dasha. If Bhadhakesh associates with the 6th House or its Lord it causes Abhichar i.e. Black Magic. In short, if bhadhak is associated with any malefic yoga it causes severe suffering. If Bhadhakesh is placed in the 12th House, then it is a blessing as Shri Vishnu is removing the Bhadhak automatically. Bhadhakesh in all other houses is a problem.

The only remedy to remove Bhadhak and the effects of Bhadhakesh is to worship Ganesh. This is the reason that Shri Ganesh is always worshipped first so that all obstacles are removed and the Nodes are pacified. Shri Ganesh is devata for Ketu, he has the power to suppress Rahu, remove Saturn and control Mars. Worshipping Shri Ganesh also activates Lagna and gives tremendous knowledge. Shri Ganesh is very dear to Vishnu and knows Amrit Vidhya. He has the power to completely block Yama. The biggest power of my Tradition of Shri Achutadasa is Amrit Kavack of Shri Ganesh that has the power to bring back a dying person.

These 32 forms of Ganesh are worshipped and they represent the 32 Devatas and Anustubha Chhanda. The particular form of Ganesh that one is required to worship is seen from the placement of Ketu in the Horoscope. For example, if Ketu is in the 11th house then Maha Ganapati is worshipped.

Since not everyone is able to judge the placement, conjunctions of planets and status of Ketu, to determine the correct form of Ganapati, a much easier process is done for everyday worship.

The 12 Names of Ganesh

Ganapati sits in all the twelve zodiac signs with twelve different names. If this name is done with Damana Beej (Suppress) “Hum” then he removes and suppresses the bhadhak for that particular sign. Those who simply know their Lagna can do this mantra to remove their Lagna Bhadhak.

Bhadhak Rules

The Bhadhak is based on the nature of Sign. For all movable signs Bhahdak house is the 11th house, for all fixed signs it is the 9th house and for all dual signs, it is the 7th house. Benefic planets in Bhadhak or as Bhadhakesh cause less trouble and try to remove it. Signs which have malefics as Bhadhakesh suffer serious problems.

Secondly, planets conjoined bhadhak sign or bhadhakesh also behave like bhadhak. If any curse is associated with bhadhak it can be threatening. The house where bhadhakesh is placed will also cause problems due to Rahu’s energy.

Sadhana Steps

• Based on your Lagna, select the Ganesh mantra
• Light a Ghee Lamp and offer Naivedyam to Ganapati.
• Chant the Ganesh Mantra first thing after lighting the lamp. Use a rosary of Red Sandalwood
• Ganesh mantra is always done first.
• One should always do only one Ganesh mantra at a given time. Doing multiple types of Ganesh Mantra will not work.
  Example: If one is doing a Shakti Ganesh mantra and also Ucchishta Ganesh mantra then both of these will not work. It is always advised to do one Ganesh mantra at a given time. The best is to do multiple malas (rounds of 108) of one Ganesh mantra.
• You can start this Sadhana on Ganesh Chaturthi or on Friday. No Ganesh mantra should be started on Saturday.
• Best is to do at least 4 malas of the Ganesh mantra every day if possible. Else, one mala will suffice.
• If Bhadhak Sign is having malefics or bad yogas then it is advised to do 11 malas for Char Lagna, 9 malas for Sthira Lagna and 7 malas for Dwisvabhava Lagna.
